The Howling Wolf Taqueria, an authentic Mexican and Southwestern taqueria serving New Mexican inspired cuisine, is at 76 Lafayette Street, in historic Salem, Massachusetts. We are on the corner of Derby Street and Lafayette Street, across Derby Street from the Salem Fire Department. The freshness, flavor and value of the food are our restaurant's highest priorities.

For the thirsty wolves... the Wolf's bar specializes in Spanish, Central and South American white and red wines, sangrias, and Mexican and local beers.

The Howling Wolf is decorated in a lively, but soulful style, with dark and bright colors, Mexican tiles, reflective surfaces, artwork on the walls, and other artistic accents. Artistic influences include modern and traditional Mexican/Southwestern cultures, Southwestern landscapes, Mexican/Southwestern cuisine, and other modern western influences. Since the restaurant is located in Salem, MA, there are muted influences from Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead. Music is played during all business hours and includes Latin influences, such as Norteno/Conjunto, Tejano, Chicano Rock – Santana, Los Lobos, Los Lonely Boys, the Gypsy Kings, etc., Country and Blues. The atmosphere is conducive to relaxation and fun, with fresh food and drink.
